This Sunday Pastor Drew will continue teaching his sermon series, “Little Words, Big Impact”.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Holiday Craft/Vendor Fundraiser

Rainbow Years Learning Ministry (a mission of Shore Church) is having a fundraiser on November 16 from 9am-3pm. Over 25 local vendors and crafters, a scholastic book fair, and concession stand lunch will be available. This is an opportunity for you to support the families of our community and local vendors and crafters.

Operation Christmas Child

For those who are participating in the Operation Christmas Child Project, don’t forget to fill your boxes and bring them back to the church by Sunday, November 17th. Please include $9 shipping for each box. The missions team will deliver them to the drop off location.

Women’s Life

Ladies, you are invited to help solve the mystery at the Ugly Sweater Christmas Mystery Party! If you’d rather just be a bystander and watch the mystery be solved, you’re still invited! Please join us Friday December 6th at 6:00pm for an evening full of fun, food, and fellowship! Please see the women’s ministry desk for sign-up and details.  

Men’s Life

In place of our regular Man Up Bible Study, all men are invited to attend the Unapologetic Men’s Event at Lakeside Occasions (2595 S 625 W Topeka) on Tuesday, Nov. 12th. Burgers and Brats will be provided while speaker Brent Henderson shares a transformational message that will equip you to crush the lies of the evil one. If you normally attend Man Up on Tuesday evenings, you have been pre-registered. This event begins at 6pm.

 

Muwendo Children’s Choir

Mark your calendars for a special Sunday morning worship experience on November 24th. The Muwendo Children’s Choir, from Uganda Africa, will be singing in our worship service as well as displaying African crafts available for purchase. A free will offering will be taken.

Ladies Bible Study meets on Mondays at 9:45am and 6:30pm at NLF.

Women’s Coffee/Breakfast meets Wednesday mornings at 8:30 am at the Country Corral in Shipshewana. Ladies scrapbooking and crafts meets on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 am at NLF. All ladies are invited!

Man Up Bible Study

The Man Up Bible study, “No More Excuses” (Tony Evans) meets on Tuesday evenings from 6-7pm. All men are invited! This study challenges men to lay down their excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience community and accountability with other NLF men.

Muwendo Children’s Choir

This Sunday, October 27, Pastor Drew will continue teaching his sermon series, “Little Words, Big Impact”.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Blessed Portions

NLF Women’s Ministry is collecting winter items for “Blessed Portions”, a ministry to the homeless in Ft. Wayne. Men’s boots, coats, gloves, and hand warmers are needed. These items can be brought to the church and placed at the Women’s Ministry desk from now until the end of October. Please contact Donna Bontrager for more information.

ON THE SCHEDULE:

Trunk or Treat

The Kids’ Country Trunk or Treat event is Wednesday, October 30th from 5:30-7pm! All NLF children are invited to come in costume and participate! Cookies and cider will be available. In case of inclement weather, this event will be moved inside the church. Candy donations are still being accepted and may be placed in the bins at the Info Desk and in the Kids’ Country hallway.

  • We will observe communion during the worship service.

Man Up Event

Grilling meat, shooting guns, bonfire, and corn hole…what more could a man want for a Friday night? All this will be happening this Friday, October 18th (5:30pm) at Pastor Drew’s house (4820 W US 20 LaGrange). Make sure to bring your own lawn chair, a side dish to share, and a buddy to enjoy the evening with.

Man Up Bible Study
Calling all men! A new Bible study, “No More Excuses” by Tony Evans, will be starting on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd from 6-7pm. There will be a video teaching followed by small group discussion. This is a brand-new study, so whether this is your first time, or you have joined us before, we look forward to seeing you there. This study will challenge you to lay down your excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment.

Trunk or Treat
The Kids’ Country Trunk or Treat event is coming soon! All NLF children are invited to join us on Wed. October 30th from 5:30-7pm. We still need 5 or 6 more people to set up a trunk or treat station in their vehicle. If interested, please sign up at the Info Desk or contact Allecia Leer with any questions about how to set up a Trunk or Treat vehicle. We are also collecting candy for this event. There are drop off bins in the foyer and in the Kids’ Country hallway.
